To paint a room is a daunting task, especially if the room is filled with heavy furniture and has tall ceilings.  I’ve put off painting our gingerbread colored living room for almost two years out of fear of it becoming a huge production.  That’s when I found a magical tool. The SMART Roller and SMART Edger from Wagner have been the game changer. They promised to speed up the painting process and wow! does it ever! What would have taken me hours upon hours of taping and painting turned into just minutes of rolling. It’s a no-tape and pre-filled wand paint system. How it’s SO FAST:

The design of the roller allows for one fill-up of paint into the wand and then it lasts what feels like forever. No back and forth to the paint pan. Oh! And, NO PAINT PAN! Did I say, NO PAINT PAN? No messy, drippy paint pan to watch out for and clean. I’ve painted countless walls and never knew about this gem. It’s completely changed the way I look at painting. I’m already planning on finally painting rooms I’ve been dreading because I know it will only take a few minutes. Set up is simple and clean up is a breeze. Watch how fast I rock out this wall with just ONE fill-up of paint.

Pro Tip:

Add a few drops of Citrus Fresh or Purification Essential Oil Blends into your paint bucket. It won’t change the consistency of the paint but it will dramatically affect the air as you paint.

Let’s Get Started:  How To Paint A Room In Minutes

When we bought our house, the living room was a dark, orangey, gingerbread brown color.  NOPE Our furniture did NOT work well with this wall color. I love a lighter, brighter color so I went with Old Faithful, my favorite Sherwin Williams color, Kilim Beige. I’ve used it in every home I’ve lived so I buy it by the 5 gallon bucket. Sherwin Williams has regular sales and deals so I waited and was able to get 40% off on the paint for this job.

Edging First:

I started with the Edge Roller. Set up was super simple. The suction attachment conveniently clips onto the side of the paint bucket. I was skeptical about how well it would edge. Taping the trim is all I’ve ever known so this was a little unnerving. So, I decided to test it on the wall corner. I was shocked at the crisp, straight line of paint. It easily maneuvered next to the white trim without one single oops.

Ready For The Roller:

After I painted all of the trim and around all of the outlets and windows, I was ready for the SMART Roller. It also has a convenient clip that stays on the side of the bucket for easy access. I only had to fill the wand once for the huge wall. No back and forth to a messy paint pan. All I had to do was insert the adaptor into the wand and pull the handle back to siphon the paint into the wand. That’s it! Then, I click the handle as I paint to send paint into the roller head. It comes out evenly and smooth. I finished two walls and waited for them to dry. Then, I went back to do a second coat. This would have taken me days without the SMART Roller.  It’s no longer a huge, all-day production to paint a room. After I was done and moved all of the furniture back into place, I couldn’t wait to dig out my Fall decor. The finished living room is simply beautiful. I just LOVE walking downstairs in the morning to see this bright and airy beauty. No more dark, gingerbread brown.
