Most of the treats have not required a lot of skill and are very easy to make with just a few ingredients.

Fun Halloween Party Food:
These are not too scary and make fantastic treats for younger kids and preschool classes.
Chocolate Dipped Banana Ghosts
First, cut bananas in half and insert a popsicle stick. Freeze bananas for at least two hours. When bananas are frozen, melt white chocolate chips with a double boiler or in the microwave. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate. Finally, coat banana halves with white chocolate and press two mini chocolate chips in for eyes. Chill for 20 minutes.

Mummy Brownies
Bake a pan of brownies or buy brownies pre-made. Slice into rectangles. Use homemade icing or use pre-made icing with the tip already attached. If using homemade icing, you can use a sandwich baggie as an icing bag. Fill with icing and snip a small piece off of the corner of the bag for icing the mummies. Next, gently pipe swaths of white icing across the brownie to create a gauze effect. Finally, add two candy eyeballs.
Gross Halloween Party Food:
The gross treats are some of the most disgusting treats I’ve ever made but the kids thought they were the best ever! These have also been a hit at Halloween parties.
Witch Fingers
First, melt white chocolate over a double boiler or in the microwave. Be careful not to overheat the chocolate. Next, add several drops of green food coloring. Pour the melted white chocolate into a tall glass for dipping. You can always add a small amount of oil to help with the consistency of the melted chocolate. Don’t add too much oil because the chocolate will not harden properly. Dip long pretzel rods in the the melted chocolate about 3/4 of the rod. Lay the rods on parchment paper and add an almond sliver to the end for the “finger nail.” Finally, you can add mini chocolate chips for “warts” and use a toothpick to create “knuckles.”
Dirty Bandaids
Use melted white chocolate (melt according to directions above) and place a small amount in the center of a vanilla wafer cookie or a graham cracker. Let dry. Then, color the chocolate with red icing. Add a small dollop of red icing to the center of the white icing to look like blood.
Used Q-Tips
Using lollipop sticks, press a mini marshmallow on each end. Set aside. Then, melt caramel bits in the microwave and dip the marshmallow ends into the caramel. Let cool on parchment paper.

Jell-O Worms
Mix one package of strawberry or raspberry Jell-O with 3 packets of unflavored gelatin. Stir in 3 cups of boiling water and stir until dissolved. Chill for 10 minutes. In a separate glass, mix 3/4 cup of whipping cream with several drops of green food coloring. Stir the cream mixture into the gelatin mixture. Pour over fully extended bendable straws that are positioned to be standing in a tall container. Chill for 2 hours. Pull individual straws from the container and run under warm water for a few seconds. Press from one end of the straw to remove the gelatin.
Spooky Halloween Party Food
Haunted House
This is my version of a typical gingerbread house you’d see built at Christmastime. Instead, it’s a haunted house, just for Halloween. This is made by taping 2 half gallon milk cartons together and attaching to a base. I used cardboard. Then, cover everything with foil and then icing. Use a few tablespoons of meringue powder in the icing to have it hold firm when dried. Then, apply various Halloween candies for windows, the door, and landscape.
Doughnut Spiders
Using mini chocolate covered doughnuts, apply two drops of icing for eyes and top with m&m candies. Next, cut pretzels carefully in a sawing motion to create the legs. Press the ‘legs’ in to the doughnut and let the icing dry for several hours.

Easy Halloween Party Food:
Something as simple as adding pretzel sticks to a mini doughnut can be a cute treat. You don’t need a ton of skill in the kitchen to create special Halloween party food and holiday memories for your kids.
