I’ve tried:
the rough side of a sponge
Magic Eraser
baking soda
and whatever else I could find to try to remove the cooked-on ring around the elements on my flat-top stove.
Nothing worked!
It was to the point where
I just couldn’t stand to look at it any longer.
I went a little extreme
and, well, it worked!
A razor blade!
At first, I was scared it would scratch
the surface or the element texture.
Nope.
I ended up just doing a light scratching around the edges and the cooked-on crusties jumped right off.
Once that was done, I wiped away all of the crumbs and covered the top with a flat-top surface cleaner.
Then, I used a paper towel and
buffed it out into a like-new shine!
Wax on … Wax off
Amazing!
It’s gleaming.
I tried to get an after shot
but my camera wouldn’t focus
on a big, black area.

So, I put the cleaner in the picture to help it focus.
Hahaha, now I ONLY want to cook with tall
pots to keep my stove looking like new.
pots to keep my stove looking like new.
I seriously thought about cooking
bacon in a tall soup pot.
bacon in a tall soup pot.
What a nut!
But,
my stove looks goooood.
my stove looks goooood.
Gosh, I love those widget thingie bobbers. I used one the other day on the tub after removing those floral treads…works so good. Perfect for those things that tear up your nails otherwise!
I bake our bacon because I hate cleaning up the mess! Plus it keeps it flat!
